Rudiments are often practised on a pad or snare drum, but the real fun begins when we move them around the kit and turn them into grooves. In this lesson, we’ll take a few familiar sticking patterns and use them as the foundation for drum beats. Instead of thinking of rudiments as “exercises,” try thinking of them as rhythmic building blocks.
